Alvin has just come out of prison, he is on parole and is starting to work at a tool and die workshop in Staten Island. He lives in a project with his grandmother, who has feeble health. He keeps a low profile, avoiding reconnecting with the crowd who ended up with him in prison. His mother, who he has not seen for many years, unexpectedly calls asking for help: she needs money to bail her out of prison. To appease his grandmother’s anxiety and worried for her deteriorating health, Alvin searches for ways to pay his mother’s bail.

Aamelat. Day Laborers of War

Since the outbreak of the war in Syria there are women refugees who have spent years working as day laborers in the Bekaa Valley under exploitative conditions. Her newborn daughters upon entering Lebanon also work in the fields to this day. Their future it's uncertain. They cannot prosper in Lebanon because it does not recognize them as nationals, nor their refugee status or protect their basic rights. They cannot return to Syria while there is war. "Aamelat. Day Laborers of War" exposes the survival situation experienced by these Syrian women and girls who are refugees in informal settlements on the outskirts of Bar Elias and puts de media spotlight on it to unveil their reality. An author documentary that narrates their life conditions and their power of resilience.

Telmo, a young man who aspires to become a filmmaker, arrives to the remotest part of the Amazon jungle. He arrives loaded with innocent illusion, romantic ideas and a camera. Nothing that happens from then on responds to his plans. The Amazonian reality is unpredictable, absurd, poetic and surprising. As Telmo enters the jungle, the world is increasingly strange and his gaze, more filmic. The travel takes Telmo to the limit of reason and his world, to the place where the uncontacted Taromenane live. In that invisible limit, Telmo discovers who he is. He is a storyteller, and he decides to tell this story.

Nacho Dean. The Sea Traveller

In 2018, the naturalist and explorer Nacho Dean, decided to embark on the challenge of swimming around the world, linking the five continents to warn about the conservation of the oceans and document the state of marine ecosystems. Since he was not a professional swimmer, he needed more than 2,500 kilometres of swimming training in order to conclude the Nemo Expedition, after 24 months, 5 crossings and 90 hours of recording.

Death at Torrevieja

Death at Torrevieja is a portrait of a stuck Spain, living on the daily and looking for easy money, working to attract and serve tourists, getting trapped in a vicious cycle of fast income in the summer and financial drought in the winter. Chetia thinks she’s the queen of Torrevieja, a NEET that makes money scamming tourists in illegal balconing bets, but her reality is far more difficult when she gets home: she has to take care of her son, Yeray, a kid she felt forced to have and that Bes her to a city that’s consuming her and that she tries to escape desperately.

Aguilucho: Dance of the Harpy Eagle

In the remote Darién Gap rainforest, indigenous communities face an existential threat to their way of life and the ecosystem upon which they rely. When a rare Harpy Eagle nest is discovered near their community, the Emberá tribe of Playa Muerto find an unlikely ally. By protecting their lands and the Eagle's habitat, they can benefit from the ecotourism she attracts, and reconnect with their own traditional heritage. This film is an exploration of this renewed relationship between the tribe and the great raptor that provides an inspiring model for conserving both a culture and a rainforest.
