Let’s Play in the Woods

Mariana and Javier try to recover from the loss of their son Tomás. After a suicide attempt by Mariana, they move to the family's old hacienda with the intention of remodeling it and thus, also, rebuild their lives and their marriage. Upon arriving at the hacienda and for no apparent reason, hope is reborn: Mariana recovers her spirits, their relationship improves, and they become pregnant again. However, a strong and imposing presence from the past is manipulating the couple to get what it wants: Rebirth.

Alejandra Cárdenas

She studied Theater at the Dimitrios Sarrás Actors Studio and Latin American Literature at Universidad Iberoamericana. In 2004, she founded Sin Sentido Films, initially providing production services for foreign films and series. She later produced Mexican films like “Mariachi Gringo,” “Espacio Interior,” and “Cáse Quien Pueda.” Recent projects include "La Nave" (2020), "Me casé con un Idiota" (2020), and "Glitter & Doom" (2021), set to release in 2024. She debuted as a director in 2022 with “Jugaremos en el Bosque.” Her TV work includes “Queen of The South” and "Acapulco" for Apple TV. She also contributed to films like "Babel" and "Frida."

Guillermo Granillo

A graduate of the Active School of Photography, he studied graphic design at UAM and Film Photography at CCC. Recognized in Mexico and Spain, he is a member of AMC and AEC, and since 2004, of AMACC. His filmography includes “Hasta morir,” “Cilantro y perejil,” and “The Crime of Father Amaro,” among others.
