Roberto Lozano Bruna
Serapio Ruiz attempted more than thirty times to cross the border between Mexico and the United States to reach the American dream. Having achieved to be the best grafter of grapevines in the world, he returned to Mexico to help the people of Lake Chapala, becoming a reference of migration. With Trump declaring a ‘national emergency’ at the border and establishing new measures to curb irregular migration and facilitate deportations, every day many people embark on a journey similar to Serapio's, a journey in which they put their most precious thing at risk, their very existence.
