On a summer day, Deniz returns to her hometown to attend her widowed mother’s wedding. The anger, fear, and guilt she thought she’d left behind resurface during this visit. Still haunted by the tragedy of losing her father in an accident at sea, Deniz learns that her mother will leave her the family house requiring her to confront her past.
Zeynep is an Istanbul-based filmmaker whose work revolves around displacement, growing up and separation. She co-founded Periferi Film under which she made short films and documentaries. These include the shorts "Dancing Girls" (2018) and "Orada/There" (2019), which travelled to film festivals around the world, including Palm Springs Shortfest, Mediterranean Short Film Festival of Tangier, Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival and many more. Zeynep is a graduate of Talents Sarajevo 2021.
