Mom´s Pestiños

Rosa tries to recall her mother by cooking the pestiños recipe she always prepared, with no success. She has invited her sisters, Beatriz and Isabel, to help her, even though they don’t speak to each other. Neither one knows that the other one is going to be there, and they can’t imagine how much Rosa wants to eat those pestiños again.

Screenplay and director MARTA DÍAZ DE LOPE DÍAZ (Málaga, SPAIN, 1988) was born in Ronda (Málaga) and nowadays resides in Barcelona. She specialized in Film Direction in ESCAC in 2012, after havig directed some short films, among them Menopáusicas, awarded with several prizes. She has written and directed one of the sequences from the collective film Los Inocentes, carried out among other students from her promotion. Her final year project, the short film Y Otro Año, Perdices, was selected to compete in Seminci from Valladolid and Medina del Campo’s film week, among other festivals. Los Pestiños de Mamá is her second short film developed with ESCAC Films. Recently she has been shooting the TV series Brigada de Fenómenos for Canar Sur, and currently she’s just finished her first feature film, Mi Querida Cofradía.
