Al Polonio: Let it Be!
Katia Morales, Paulinho Azevedo
Cabo Polonio, a small, rough and charming beach lost in time and space located on the coast of Uruguay. The place attracts travelers, hippies and artists from all over the world. Since the place has no pumped water nor electricity, once you are there you can totally disconnect yourself from the madness of the modern life. To tell this story, we talked with a few locals, who explained what does being or going to Polonio means to them. They are: Martin Buscaglia (musician); Gonzalo Brown (musician); Gonzalo 'Ajo' Nuñes (hostel owner and musician); Joselo Calimare (bar owner); Hector 'Pancho' Blanco (bar owner); Don Lujambio (businessman) Some say Polonio is a State of Mind; some say Polonio has it's own pace and some say it's the Greatest Place in the World. The most important to say is that Polonio must be kept and protected the way it is.
