Petitet is a former percussionist and Barcelona gypsy whose father was one of the first back-up musicians for the legendary Peret. In a promise to his dying mother, Petitet said he would take her to see Catalan rumba played on the stage of the Liceu, Barcelona's grand opera house. Now, if he's to keep that promise, Petitet will have to bring together over twenty - excellent, but undisciplined - gypsy musicians and pull off the miracle of them playing together with… a symphony...
