Madrid, 1962. Screenwriter, film director and composer of Argentine parents. Has lived in New York and in London for nine years. It was in the British capital where he published his first album, A petrified forest. During those years he not only developed musically but he also began to write film scripts such as Rain on the Shoes or Even if you do not know it. Russo made his debut in film direction with the short film The Compliment (2000), starring Luis Tosar. Two years later the work was filmed, also short duration, Nothing to Lose (2002), Goya Award for Best Short Film. Russo returns to work in 2002 as a scriptwriter in the short film Hoy por ti, siempre por mí, by Francisco Torres. His first film, Love in Self-Defense (2005), won the Award for the Best First Feature at the Alcalá de Henares Film Festival.
