Wild horses

Wild horses

Juan Rayos
For 350 years, the wild horses of Sabucedo have had their manes and tails sheared as part of an ancient ritual performed for reasons of hygiene and parasite removal. The horses are herded into a circular corral where they are sheared by the “aloitadores”, fighters who pin down the horses with their bare hands.
