Director, Novelist, Screenwriter. A crime novelist and a screenwriter, Jérémie Guez grew up in Nantes before moving to Paris at the age of 16. His fascination for the infamous northern Parisian neighborhoods of Pigalle, Barbès and Belleville as well as for American Cinema Noir and American detective novels inspired him to create his own stories, mixing both fictional and documentary styles. Awarded with the Prix SNCF 2013 for best crime novel, his previous works include “Paris la nuit” and “Eyes Full of Empty”. Jérémie Guez worked with the French director Jalil Lespert on the screenplay of his films “iris” (2016) and “Yves Saint Laurent”(2014). Since then he has founded his own production company and has been developping various film projects.
