The Rudeness of a German Lady

The Rudeness of a German Lady

Silva Capin
Under the burning sun, beachgoers are trying to take advantage of every minute of their paid trip to a desolate beach. Among them are a mother with her grown son, two ladies and their dog, a passive-aggressive married couple, loud Italians, happy Hungarians, and an overweight, possibly dead, German lady.
Silva Capin (Osijek, 1989.) is film screenwriter and director. She holds BA degree in Comparative Literature (Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Zagreb) and both BA and MA degree in Film and TV directing (Academy of dramatic art at the University of Zagreb). During her studies at the Academy, she directed short films with which she attended various film festivals. Since 2014, she has been working as an associate at Croatian public televison (Croatian Radiotelevision, HRT) in the Cultural, Children's and Entertainment Program. Her first professional short film is "The Rudeness of a German Lady / Njemacki inat" (Best project of 2018th EUROPEAN SHORT PITCH) and she is developing her first feature-length "On Leave / Tajnice" (Best project of Sarajevo Film Festival 2017th Pitch and Pack program).
