The Life and Death of Jennifer Rockwell

Jennifer Rockwell, a profesional sports woman trained with the strictest of discipline, willpower and sacrifice, has a plan, a plan to reach the pinnacle of her career, the most difficult that you could possibly imagine.

Director. Javier Roldán Galván (Valladolid, 1981) graduated from University of León in the Escuela de Cinematografía y Artes Visuales of Ponferrada, with a degree in film direction; a few years later he graduated again from the renowned Cátedra de Historia y Estética de la Cinematografía from the University of Valladolid. At first he founded the production company Producciones Buenaventura, where he directs every kind of projects, from comercials and music videos to short films and documentaries, being the most remarkable La raza sayaguesa, a full-length film whose distribution was supported by the Ministry, and which obtained great public acclaim. After this period he continued his professional activities as script supervisor in tv-shows and films as recognized in Spain as El internado, Lex, El barco, Olmos y Robles, Chiringuito de Pepe, El secuestro de Anabel, El asesino dentro del círculo, or El cimen de los Marqueses de Urquijo. He also has worked as screenwriter and first assistant director in important spanish film production companies, such as Pedro Costa P.C., Cañavete Films, or Nova Televisió. Nevertheless, maybe his most remarkable job to this day is as director of short films, in which Antonio revisitado —awarded in the New Directors category of the Villagarcía de Arosa Film Festival— and Hermanos —released in the last edition of SEMINCI, the prestigious International Film Festival of Valladolid— stand out as his biggest achievements.
