The Last Eulogy

Giorgio Priscoli, owner of a funeral home, launches a new service for the families of the departed: to enhance and embellish the memory left by loved ones after their death.

Gustav Baldassini is a young Italian/German filmmaker from Florence. Along with his own short film projects, he has worked as an assistant director and assistant camera on independent films as well as big productions for both cinema and television. As a young student, he takes part in various workshops led by international filmmakers such as Fernando Pino Solanas, Isaki Lacuesta and Alex Orlowski, along with editing and post-production classes. He takes his first official steps in the business as an assistant to Italian director Cinzia TH Torrini for Italian RAI and German ZDF. He also works as an assistant camera for Italian DP Stefano Pancaldi on various documentaries for the French-German channel ARTE. Among his collaborations with independent filmmakers, a number of short films ("Stampede" by Cyrill Amon Schaublin, “Tutto o Niente” by Matthew Kawalski) and video clips (mostly alongside director Manfredi Lucibello), as well as video projects for Fabbrica Europa and Maggio Musicale Fiorentino. Gustav is currently working as a copywriter for Mediacross, a communication agency based in Florence, where he's applying his skills to creating commercials and promotional videos.
