Ignacio Lasierra

Director, Screenwriter, Teacher
Ignacio Lasierra holds a degree in Audiovisual Communication, a Masters in Screenwriting for Film and Television from the University of Salamanca, and a Masters in Film, Television and Interactive Media from the Rey Juan Carlos University of Madrid.
He has been taught by such screenwriters as David Muñoz, screenwriting analysis with Miguel Machalski and Antonio Sánchez Escalonilla and under filmmakers such as Rodrigo Cortés, Enrique Urbizu and Jorge Sánchez Cabezudo.
He is currently working as a professor for San Jorge University, teaching different subjects related to screenwriting and directing. He is doing his PhD dissertation, belongs to the university research group "Television and New Technologies" and writes as a film critic for the annual publication Cine para leer, coordinated by the film historian José Luis Sánchez Noriega.
In his career as a writer and director, Ignacio has shot four short films to date: Al otro lado (2002), Rastro (2006), Salomón (2008) and La granja (2011), for which he has won numerous awards at festivals worldwide.
