Zahra is a middle-aged woman who visits a temporary marriage agency and signs up to have a young working girl. She picks her up to take her home but the girl (Negar) who has never had a female client before, becomes suspicious of Zahra’s intent and sexual orientation.
Director, screenwriter, producer Born in 1973 in Iran, is a multi-awarded Iranian-Canadian screenwriter, director, and producer. In 2010, he gained his master's degree in Cinema studying from the faculty of art at the University of Tehran, and also directed his first short film "Slowness". He immigrate to Vancouver, Canada in 2016, and made his second film "The Blue Bed" in 2020. It has been selected for some Oscar-qualifying festivals like Short Shorts Film Festival & Asia 2020, and Goya-qualifying like Elche International Independent Film Festival 2020, Palencia International Film Festival. It also won the Best Director Award from the Vancouver Short Film Festival 2020 and was nominated for three main categories at the Leo Awards 2020: The Best Short Film, The Best Directing, and The Best Screenwriting. In 2020, he has written a feature movie that is called "Into Schrodinger’s Box" that is directed by Amir Ganjavi and Nasim Naghavi in Toronto and it was selected for the "Big Apple Film Festival", and received the Best Feature Film Award from the "New Jersey Film Festival" in 2021. Furthermore, he has directed a documentary feature film "Margin vs. Center" (2021), and a new short film "Split End" (2021) that will be released soon. "The Gold Teeth" is a short script he has written that has made the Crazy 8s Top 6 and plans to direct it by the end of February 2022. Social justice, women's rights, and immigrant issues are his concerns.
