In the drought-stricken town of Agua Dulce, in the California High Desert, a ten year old girl challenges her grandfather, a cranky retired firefighter, to follow a crazy plan and bring water back to the dry river.
Director, Producer, Sceenwriter. Alvaro Ron has written, directed and produced numerous award-winning short films around the world including The Red Thunder (Finalist at the 26th Producers Guild of America Awards) To Kill or Not to Kill (official selection PBS Independent Film Festival), and Behind the Curtain starring Emmy Award-winner Peter MacNicol. He has executive produced and directed critically acclaimed TV shows including the Spanish version of Life on Mars. He also developed The Protected for ABC Family.
Ron’s producer credits include feature films like Mia Sarah (directed by Gustavo Ron), Americano (directed by Kevin Noland; Starring Josh Jackson and Dennis Hopper) and Green Zone (directed by Paul Greengrass; Starring Matt Damon, Amy Ryan and Greg Kinnear).
Alvaro Ron is a graduate of UCLA and The Los Angeles Film School. He is a member of the Producers Guild of America (PGA), Film Independent and the National Association of Latino Independent Producers (NALIP).
