Sebastién is a gay acrobat living for the thrill of the circus. Now the oldest acrobat in the troupe, he fears each show could be his last, as an uncertain future awaits. This beautifully languid documentary catches the final leap of a long, idyllic youth.
Jay Bedwani is a Cardiff, UK and California based filmmaker specialising in short and feature documentary, with a particular focus on subjects related to the LGBTQ community. Jay’s short films have played in over 40 international film.
festivals, with MY MOTHER winning best U.K. short at the Iris Prize Festival (Europe's largest LGBT festival), as well as being selected by the British Film Institute for their Best Postroom shorts feature in 2016. Jay was selected for BFI’s FAMLAB workshop in 2016, and Scottish Documentary Institute’s filmmaking scheme, Bridging the Gap in 2017.
