The documentary explores the issues women face when pregnant, the lack of resources makes that many of them reach birth with no medical monitoring at all along the process. Then at the hospital, those who cannot pay a private doctor, have to bribe the doctors and nurses in order to get a proffesional service. Romania is one of the poorest countries in EU which barely supports pregnant women.
Jesús del Cerro (Madrid, 1969) is a director, screenwriter, film and television producer and an impenitent traveller. He has lived in Texas, Miami, Buenos Aires, Kenya, Bucharest, Puerto Rico, Toledo and Madrid. He began directing at a very young age in the series Médico de familia and is also producer and director of series such as Compañeros, Policías and Un paso adelante, of which he is also the creator. He then focused his career on cinema; in recent years he has directed more than a dozen films in Spain, Romania and the United States, as well as writing the screenplays for two of them, Attraction to Paris (USA) and Hawaii (Romania).
