Liberman Arango Quintero
In "Bocas de ceniza", a town that bursts out from the course of the Magdalena River and the Caribbean Sea in northern Colombia. Julio Núñez spends his days fishing and weaving nets, the memory of his wife and his displacement from his homeland bring this story to life.
Director, Producer, Cinematographer He graduates from high school and then pursues an undergraduate degree in Audiovisual Communication, but never finishes it. Film books and movies have been his school. In 2011 he founded together with other colleagues K-minantes Colectivo, a niche for independent filmmaking, interested mainly in the search for a particular and organic language. He began his career as a sonidist, but the power of the image captivates him, falling in love with his senses with light and his mysteries. The documentary genre is the niche that allows you to find a style in the static frames, and thus enhance the actions within them, such as dances. In addition to Portraits, his filmography consists of pieces of short and feature film, such as Marejada Feliz (2017), Recolectores del Olvido (2013), Memoria Colectiva (2012), Las vacas de mi abuelo (2012), El Relámpago de la noche (2011) among others.
