Director, producer, screenwriter Ainhoa Menéndez studied scriptwriting at ECAM (Madrid Cinema School) and filmmaking at EICTV in Cuba. She is a Berlinale Talent Alumni and she won the Woman in Action Award by Movistar+ and CIMA. Her short film trilogy "Dark Tales", was selected in more than 500 festivals and has won more than 100 awards. She won a script development grant for her feature lenght project "A Stroke o Luck" (2009) and she was hired in several projects as screenwriter. Ainhoa currently has three feature films in different stages of development, all of them have participated in several development workshops and international markets such as Guanajuato Film Festival, Guadalajara Film Festival, BAM, Ventana Sur, EAVE Puentes, MFI, Madrid Crea Lab, CIMA Mentoring. In addition, her feature film project "En carne viva" was selected in the prestigious Incubadora The Screen-ECAM development program. And at the end of 2021, Ainhoa will direct her first feature film, a Spanish-Argentine co-production entitled "Luces".
