Namnala

Director, Filmmaker Nacho Solana is a young Spanish advertising and short film Director. After graduating in Civil Engineering from the University of Cantabria, he decided to train in what he had always been attracted by: cinema and film-making. Besides participating in various courses and seminars in this area, he performed the Master of Cinema History and Aesthetics at the University of Valladolid, and studied Film Direction at Madrid School of Cinematography and Audiovisual (ECAM). He also had the opportunity to specialize in actors’ direction next to the renowned Spanish Stage Director Miguel Narros, participating as an Assistant Director in the theatrical productions of Miss Julie and La Cena de los Generales. Thanks to its training, he has been able to give courses about film-making, as well as moderate debates in film projections. He is currently in charge of the management of El cine en tus manos, a cinema school in Santander, where he teaches several subjects, especially Direction. He has worked in the production, editing, and especially direction departments in many audiovisual projects for different producers. At the moment he is collaborating with Burbuja Films, a production company with which he has directed corporate videos, videoclips, making of and short films. He has directed five short films until date. #7 and On my Mind have received more than 90 awards and selections in national and international film festivals. Intercambios, his one-minute short film which was nominated to the Tripe Destilación Best Short Film by the Notodofilmfest, has already achieved more that 30 selections. Aptitudes (Skills) and Namnala, both recently released, are currently being distributed.
