Born in Madrid, for the last 20 years he has dedicated himself to film and advertising. He studied at the Complutense University in Madrid and he is a member of the Academia de las Artes y las Ciencias Cinematográficas de España since 1997. He was director and scriptwriter of the film LA LUNA EN BOTELLA (2007), and of 5 short films, awarded in many international film festivals (LA GOTERA, 1996, was also nominated for a GOYA; EL TOPO Y EL HADA, 1999, was selected in Official Section at the Berlin Film Festival). Since 2000, he has directed advertisements for the best Spanish advertising agencies (Tapsa, Grey, Publicis, Leo Burnett, J Walter Thomson, Saatchi & Saatchi…), for clients as Mitsubishi, Play Station, Procter & Gamble or Antena 3 TV. Since 2011, he has combined these tasks with the writing and editing of a collection of children’s books, CALABATA (www.calabata.com), using his own publishing house INK ME. Currently, embraced by restless and disturbing artists, he gives a twist to the publishing house opening it to new territories in the margins of contemporary art, theater, poetry and communication, while preparing to shoot his new short film, THE GUEST.
