MAMIS is the story of four women who are tired of being treated as second-class
citizens. It is a story about two generations of Cuban mothers who have decided to
live their lives how they want to, despite the prejudices of the society. It is about
personal rebellion, but also of resignation.
After several years working as a copywriter for various advertising agencies in
Madrid, began working as a writer for Spanish Television for Children TV Series
Clanners.
In 2013 he was awarded the Vice Chancellor Scholarship from the University of Arts
of London which allowed her to pursue the MA Documentary Film at the London
College of Communication. That year, the organization One World Media financed
her first short documentary Mamis, shot in Havana, Cuba, in August 2013.
Virginia has studied script and documentary film in Madrid, Havana and London.
Currently combines his career as a documentary with work as a writer and editor for
various agencies and production companies such as Discovery Digital
