Interior Taxi Night

Interior Taxi Night

Iban del Campo Uribarrena, Silvia Rey Canudo
On his last night in New York, a young film director asks a mysterious taxi driver to get lost in a ride with no direction. Based on one of the directors’ own experiences, this film is a somewhat ironic tribute to the famous hidden camera TV programme Taxicab Confessions and to New York City.

Iban del Campo Uribarrena

In 2001 he enrolled on the Artistic Documentary Master's Course at the Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelone. In 2007 he returned to San Sebastián to direct a documentary series for Euskal Telebista, the public basque tv channel. Following his television experience, he directed the fiction short film Lo bakarrik (Only Sleep), and created his own production company. He simultaneously teaches film and documentary at Mondragon Unibertsitatea and directs the basque short film festival Huhezinema. In the summer of 2008 he enrolled on a documentary course at the TISCH School of the Arts in New York University where he started to develop Dirty Martini and the underground burlesque scene in NYC. He has worked as jury in several basque film festivals and has coordinated the Orona Award for most cutting edge short film in they NEST Film Students section since 2015. And there he is, between fiction and documentary, in a permanent state of jet lag without even taking a plane.
