Through various characters we know the violation of human rights suffered daily by the Palestinian population in the Gaza Strip and the situation of blockade and postwar for which it tries to survive. All this in the face of the complicity of the international community and the impunity of Israel.

Carles Bover

Carles Bover has studied a degree in Audiovisual Communication in 2013. After graduating, because of his interest in wanting to carry out social projects, he decided to specialize with a Master's Degree in Documentary and New Formats. He began in the social theme with a report on the educational inclusion of people with cerebral palsy. The report titled Inclusion with an expiration date was the winner of the V Alberta Giménez Journalism Award. In 2014, he developed the task of scriptwriter and assistant director in the short film Galerías, which won several international prizes and selections. In 2015 he made his first documentary short film as a director, Escucha mi mirada, which featured multiple selections, including the Abycine and Art Jove 2016 Festival. In 2017, Carles Bover produces and directs, along with his partner Julio Pérez, the short film GAZA and the feature film Gas the Arabs, about the situation in the Gaza Strip after the Israeli attack during the summer of 2014. He is currently directing his first documentary feature, Creative Destruction of a City, which he was able to develop at the DocsBarcelona Workshop. The film is co-produced by El Retorno Producciones and IB3 TV and will be released in 2019.


Julio Pérez del Campo

Julio Pérez was graduated in Environmental Protection by the University of Ireland in 2004 and in Environmental Sciences by the URJC University in 2005. After several years working as teacher at various secondary schools of Castilla-La Mancha, also at UNED University and several courses about direction and photography direction, decided to specialize with the Master in Documentary and New Formats at URJC University. Since then he has made several documentaries like Christmask, Autorretrato, La levedad y la Jara, YHWH or La sangre, la tierra (selected in the MIFEC). As director of the documentary Galleries he was the winner of the Best International Documentary Award at the National Student Film Festival FENACIES (Uruguay), winner of the Best Spanish Short Film Award in Montecatini International Short Film Festival (Italy) and selected in several international festivals as the FICVI, VOFF, FCIP, MACS and some more. Later, has made two short films with his teammate Carles Bover, Road and Lezione di Italian. The last one was selected for the official section of the 2015 European Audiovisual Creation Competition. He has directed and produced, with Carles Bover, his first feature documentary entitled Gas the Arabs, and the shortfilm Gaza about the situation in Gaza after the Israeli bombing in the summer of 2014.
