Leonor Zuniga
In 1998, Zoilamerica accused her adoptive father of rape and sexual abuse. Almost 20 years later, she lives in exile while caring for her 10-year-old son. Her adoptive father is Daniel Ortega, leader of the Sandinista revolution and current president of Nicaragua.
Leonor Zúniga is a Nicaraguan sociologist, activist and documentary filmmaker. She is the author of several publications in the field of media, political culture and democracy in Nicaragua. He has a Master of Fine Arts in Documentary Film from Stanford University. She is the Director and Producer of Documentary Cinema, co-founder and creative director of CaLe producciones and Cinema Regional. She is the executive producer of Sueños de Birrete (2016). He has also directed the documentary short films such as Docktown (2016), Trees of Life (2016) and Exiled (2019), Flor de una Noche (2020).
