EMMA TUSELL
Emma decides to talk to Ana, an actress, to help her to tell her story. Some time ago her father died and she does not know very well who he really was. She has decided to find out by making a documentary, and so she travels to Tattiouine, a small village lost in the Atlas Mountains of Morocco, where her father spent most of his life shooting documentaries.
Emma Tusell has been almost 15 years working as a film editor. This is her first
work as a director. She also directed the documentary series Madridcrea and more
than 15 shortfilms. She edited plenty documentaries as Cuando Hollywwod estaba
en la Gran Vi?a (Javier Rioyo), Hobby (Ciro Altaba?s) and El hombre y la mu?sica
(Laura Sipa?n). She also edited feature films, most notably Magical Girl (Carlos
Vermut) winner of the Golden Shell and Silver Shell at last year's San Sebastian
Film Festival. She studied Direction in the Cinema Institute of Madrid. In 2003 he
was graduated from the Cinema School of Madrid, specializing in Edition and later
made a documentary workshop EICTV (Cuba) where she discovered the
documentary of creation. Later she specialized in this kind of documentary taking
workshops by the most prestigious Spanish directors working this genre: Victor
Erice, Jose Luis Guerin, and Elias Leon Siminiani.
