Director In 2009, after a film degree in Cinema at Sorbonne University, Cyril Battarel founded Hippocampe Productions with Christophe Battarel and Jordane Oudin. In parallel to his activities at Hippocampe, he joined the Ecole Nationale Supérieure Louis-Lumière to accumulate shooting experiences as cameraman or as cinematographer assistant on fictions and documentaries. In 2012, he produced and directed his first short film, Between a Rock and a Hard Place (La Croix et la Bannière), selected in numerous international festivals.
