Everybody has a mother. But motherhood still remains a state filled with silences. Between society’s mandate to be a ‘good mother’ -always patient, caring, happy and the reality of mothers around the world. Aiming to break this silence through candid interviews with mothers of all backgrounds and generations in Latin America, MALAMADRE narrates the untold story of motherhood, from the mother’s point of view.
Director
Amparo is a Filmmaker (ENERC) native of Mar del Plata and mother of two children. Director of many award-winning short films, she has currently release the documentary MALAMADRE (BADMOM), with which has won the WIP section of “La mujer y cine “ and obtained a grant from Ibermedia Program and EAVE.
