Aida

Aida; the oldest flower vendor in Alexandria has been roaming the city streets for the past 50 years. Aida is a familiar face for the city residents, yet they don't know much about her, a face that holds within a long history of untold stories.

Born 1988 in Alexandria,Egypt. After her graduation from Faculty of Arts,Theater department she started studying filmmaking in the Egyptian High Institute of Cinema. She worked as an AD in many short and feature films. In 2014 she made her 1st short El Bostan El Saeed Street, it was screened in many festivals around the world and was awarded "Radwan El Kashef" award in Luxor African Film Festival in 2014, Best Short Film in Malmo Arab Film Festival 2015 and The Special Jury Prize in the Egyptian national cinema festival 2015. Aida was her documentary school project, she finished it August 2015 & it had its world premiere at IDFA’s student competition.
